something isn’t right.
what path did you really choose?
Are you doing what you really wanted with your life, or what someone else expected of you? Despite having an unprecedented amount of freedom today to choose what we want to do with our lives, too many of us never end up pursuing what we really want. Or, we choose to follow what we believe will make us happier, only to realize later our theory of happiness was wrong. This happens in part because our society—especially our education system—was never designed to help us find and pursue what truly aligns with us.
a failure of design
A society designed like ours produces predictable outcomes. Many are miserable at work globally, in numbers so large that we may look around us and conclude that it is an unavoidable reality of life. Workplaces are rarely safe environments to have honest conversations about how we really feel, so many of us quietly suffer alone. That is, until a breaking point is reached.
Rebellion was predictable
Throughout the world, a profound shift is happening with what people expect from their working life. The Great Resignation and “quiet quitting” phenomena in the United States, “lying flat” movement in China, and similar trends in other countries throughout the world are signs of change. There is open rebellion against the status quo being expressed with remarkable similarity worldwide. However, none of these approaches are likely to succeed, because they are based on an incomplete understanding of the problem. What is missing is a deeper understanding of why people are truly unhappy at work, and how to address it.
A better path
Can we do better, and be happier? Absolutely. I share how in my book, Evolution to Purpose. For those who prefer a more personalized and interactive approach, I also offer workshops and individual sessions to help those who wish to follow their own true path.

We have recently reached that point.
REBELLION WAS PREDICTABLE
Throughout the world, a profound shift has been taking place with respect to what people expect from their working life. The Great Resignation and “quiet quitting” phenomena in the United States, “lying flat” movement in China, and similar trends in other countries throughout the world are signs of change. What we are seeing is open rebellion against the status quo being expressed with remarkable similarity worldwide. However, none of these approaches are likely to succeed, because they are based on an incomplete understanding of the problem.
What is missing is a deeper understanding of why people are truly unhappy at work, and how to address it. This is not the fault of any individual, but a failure of how our system was designed. It turns out our society wasn’t exactly designed to help us be happier, and following its many nudges and messages can easily lead us away from where we were meant to go.
