my path
About me
I am an author, speaker, and business school professor.
I am passionate about education the way it was supposed to be—helping individuals develop into the best version of themselves. If these words sound unfamiliar to you, you probably grew up in an education system with a very different goal in mind.
I’ve been a professor for over ten years at multiple business schools, including NYU Stern, The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, and Ivey Business School in Canada. I received my PhD from the University of California-Berkeley, and currently teach at the Bloch School of Management at the University of Missouri-Kansas City. My perspective as an educator allowed me to see the strengths of what we do, as well as where we fail to help our students find what they were meant to do. I also wasn’t always a professor. Prior to beginning my academic career, I previously worked in investment banking (Citigroup), corporate strategic planning (Burger King), and strategy consulting (Bain and Company).
My mission is to help others find and successfully pursue what would make them happier in their working life. I lead workshops and offer individual sessions for those at every stage of life and career to find clarity in their next steps. My book Evolution to Purpose explores in depth why so many never find happiness at work, and how one can begin to find it for themselves. I am also available for speaking engagements, and you can follow me on my blog.
